Would you like to…?
Would is the past of will and like this one, it is used as an auxiliary verb that modifies another verb. It expresses different functions:

• We use would to talk about something that is possible true but not yet.
(Usamos would para hablar sobre algo que es posible pero aún no es cierto).
They would get very angry. |
• It expresses an idea of will, acceptance or preference.
(Expresa una idea de voluntad, aceptación o preferencia.)
I would travel around the world. |
• To talk about the possible result or effect of a situation.
(Para hablar sobre el posible resultado o efecto de una situación.)
This medicine would make you feel better. |
• To express courtesy.
(Para expresar cortesía.).
Would you like something to drink? |
Affirmative sentences
The affirmative expressions are structured as follows:

We would help you.

Negative sentences
The negative expression with would is formed with would + not and its contraction is wouldn’t.
(La expresión negativa con would se forma con would + not, y su contracción es wouldn’t.)
Examples:

Questions
For polite requests and offers in interrogative sentences, we place would before the subject:
